Development of Infrastructure:
1] An Equine Swimming Pool wholly sponsored by Shri. Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry of Mumbai has been operational.
2] New flexible plastic railings [safety railings] of international standard right round the track are placed in place of old railings for the safety of riders and horses.
3] For better viewing of the Races, three new TV towers have been erected to cover the video recording of Races i.e., one near 1400 Metres, one near 700 Metres and one near 550 Metres in addition to the existing towers.
4] Cameras have been installed inside the Starting Gates, i.e., one camera each for every two stalls.
5] Further, a handi-cam has been pressed into service, at the rear of the Starting Gates, to monitor activities from the time the horses arrive at the Gates, until the start of the Race.
6] The veterinary hospital has been upgraded with a new X Ray Room and Ultra Sound Scanner.
7] The Jockey’s Room has been improvised to the satisfaction of the riders.
8] The request of the Jockeys to subsidize the cost of Helmets of International Standards, has been approved at the recent Chairman’s Meeting of the Turf Authorities of India, and by the Mysore Race Club Ltd., will bear the applicable subsidy here also.
9] A new Fully Equipped Ambulance has been put in to service and it is operative along with the other Ambulance during morning Track-work as well as during races.
10] After becoming an Independent Turf Authority, we have licensed 6 Apprentice Jockeys after conducting rigorous selection process.
11] About 100 new stables were constructed.
12] A new 250 KVA diesel gen-set has been installed to augment our power back up system.
13] A new giant screen in front of the Grand Stand and a small screen in the Paddock for viewing of Races for the benefit of our racing patrons will be shortly installed.
14] 15 additional Tote counters have been installed in the Bookmaker Ring area and car parking area.
15] The elevator in the Grand Stand has been upgraded and is operational.
16] We have put up a new fully equipped and furnished enclosure for Owners, Trainers, as well as Jockeys, at our Grand Stand below the Stewards’ Box.
17] A new water purifier plant (Zero B) of 500 Litres per hour capacity, has been installed to provide clean and potable drinking water to both staff members and the general public.
18] Provision has been made for more number of seating accommodations to the Racing patrons and a number of ceiling fans have been put up for them.
19] A new pavilion with the relevant facilities will be provided for the benefit of the Punters
